Christian Lacroix is a French fashion designer who founded the house that bears his name in 1986. His colourful and elaborate designs often feature mulitple patterns, elaborate ruffles, poufs and pleats. For many his designs are the epitome of the 1980s trend for over-the-top fashion. He has since designed jewellery, handbags, shoes, glasses, scarves and ties.
