Founded by visionary French designer Thierry Mugler, the house brought his theatrical, futuristic aesthetic into fragrance, beginning with Angel in 1992. Its fragrances are built around striking contrasts and unconventional combinations. Mugler is particularly renowned for pioneering the modern gourmand fragrance with Angel, as well as its sculptural, jewel-like bottles and memorable olfactory signatures. The house also pioneered refillable luxury fragrance, with its bottles designed to be replenished in store or at home.
